Republic NOLA — Twenty to Twenty

TWENTY TO TWENTY

20 Shows To Celebrate 20 Years

The Experience

Republic opened our doors in December 2005. Twenty years later, we’re celebrating this monumental milestone the same way we always have: creating unforgettable experiences that people talk about for years. “Twenty to Twenty” is a series of 20 shows that builds to our 20 year anniversary on December 20th, honoring the club’s past while investing in what matters most – the experience.

The team at Republic has been working tirelessly on the guest experience to mark the milestone — real upgrades you can see and feel — rolled out each week of the Twenty to Twenty series:

  • A 1984 World’s Fair gondola reimagined as a working photobooth — poetically, this exact World’s Fair gondola picked up passengers on our block
  • An outdoor lounge with couches, carpets, disco balls, and space to breathe between sets
  • A specialty drink menu with collectible glassware, playful garnishes, and a thoughtful non-alcoholic lineup
  • Food every night of the series — a rotation of pop-ups curated by Young Johnsons Seafood and DNOLA’s kitchen, serving local cuisine ranging from seafood gumbo and smoked chicken to chargrilled oysters
  • A massive merch drop including limited edition 20 year pieces, anchored by a premium festival-style jersey
  • The Golden Ticket: Twenty will be gifted to long-time supporters, 20 will be gifted at random, 20 are available for sale now! Golden ticket holders will get access to our invite-only VIP Patron party with open bar, catering, and more plus a commemorative brass keychain and more! DETAILS.
  • Arora Wellness — sound baths, yoga, aerial, and more — so the community can rest before going again. Enjoy morning and evening classes Monday through Thursday!
  • DJ Academy — a six-week Fall Semester course for beginners that takes students from zero to first performance, with intermediate and advanced curriculum rolling out this Spring. Though the Fall Semester is fully booked and underway, Spring enrollment will be available soon!
  • WhyNot Disco — A bus. A dance party. Yet another wonderfully weird space for special moments. This one is coming later in the series, but it’ll be worth the wait!
  • Surprises — Every show will have a unique festival-style fabric wristband, a production enhancement, a unique element, a giveaway … expect some surprises and keep an eye out for easter eggs (If you see a phone, pick it up). We have so many fun activations in store for you!

The Events

We curated the twenty shows to tell the story of our room’s range — bass and house, hip-hop and disco, reggaeton and emo, retro and variety. From icons like Yung Gravy and Getter to tastemakers like All:Lo Collective and Wreckno, there’s something for everyone. The series even features two variety shows: THE GREAT BINGO REVIVAL, a 1970’s game show meets Bingo plus the wackiest host, the BINGO-GO Dancers, and endless flying bingo cards — and FREAK SHOW PEEP SHOW with aerialists, choreography, sideshow acts, drag queens, and burlesque!

Expect the energy to swing: some nights designed for pure ignition, others curated for deep nostalgia or left-field surprise. The through-line is simple — no two nights the same and expect the unexpected. After twenty years, we’re not reinventing ourselves; we’re doubling down on what made this place matter — Investing in your experience is how we celebrate this milestone with our community. Our message is baked into our name: Republic – we listen, adapt, and build nights for the people who fill the room.

Republic’s history reads like a mixtape of the last two decades: Post Malone, Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, Diplo, Mumford & Sons, Illenium, Disclosure, Lil Wayne, Deadmau5, Porter Robinson, and thousands more. Republic was also the home venue and incubator for acts like G-Eazy, The Revivalists, Big Freedia, and many more.

This anniversary isn’t merely a victory lap – it’s a promise that the nights ahead will be even better and brighter.
